Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces HE Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit welcomed the Chief of Saudi General Staff, Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Fayyad bin Hamed Al Ruwaili, whom he accompanied on a visit to the National Service Academy.
The Chief of the Saudi General Staff toured the academy to review its facilities as well as the important programmes it offers.
The visitors were received by President of the National Service Academy Major-General Saeed bin Hamad Al Nuaimi.
They also visited the Combined Operations Center, where they were received by Commander of the Joint Force to secure the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Major-General Saeed bin Hussain Al Khayarin and Acting Deputy Chief of Staff for Joint Operations Major-General (Pilot) Ibrahim bin Juma Al Malki Al Jehani.
The visitors reviewed a summary of the role played by the Ministry of Defence, represented by the Combined Force, in securing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 which is set to hold from November 20 to December 18.
The Chief of the Saudi General Staff and Chief of Staff of Qatari Armed Forces also visited the headquarters of the Amiri Air Defence Forces, where they were received by Commander of the Qatari Amiri Air Defence Forces Staff Major-General Rashid bin Ali Al Qashouti.
During the visit, they reviewed the important systems owned by the Air Defence Forces. The visits were attended by several senior officers from the Qatari and Saudi sides.
