Retired Qatari midfielder Adel Khamis has tested positive for novel coronavirus. This was announced by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy in a tweet.
Adel Khamis, 54, “was unfortunately diagnosed with the novel coronavirus, COVID-19,” the SC tweet said.
“We wish a speedy to all those affected”, it added.
Khamis is one of the public faces of the FIFA Worl Cup 2022 Qatar tournament along with fellow ambassadors Tim Cahill of Australia and Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez.
