The Mall of Qatar, in collaboration with Wa’hab, spearheaded an initiative to provide Iftar food to workers across Qatar during this blessed month, enabling them to overcome the current challenges. This comes in line with their corporate social responsibility programme and community outreach during the Holy month of Ramadan.
Hundreds of decent Iftar meals were well prepared, packed and delivered to the workers who enjoyed a fresh iftar and shared their joyful moments.
Khaled Sam Hosn, CEO of Mall of Qatar said: “Ramadan is the month of giving, we pride ourselves contributing in the effort to provide appropriate support to those that are in need and make a difference in their lives. It is a small gesture that reflects the values of solidarity and demonstrates our commitment to the wider wellbeing of the community”.
Iftar meals were packed with the highest safety standards, wrapped in biodegradable packs, reflecting the responsibility of the Qatar Mall to protect the environment and reduce plastic waste.
pThe corporate social responsibility programme is at the heart of the business model of the Mall in Qatar. ‘The nation’s mall is a stakeholder in achieving sustainable development that has a positive impact on social, economic and environmental factors.
Wa’hab, an award-winning SME, works to reduce food waste and provide support to communities in Qatar. By linking surplus food to those in need, Wa’hab aims to promote social solidarity and protect the environment.
