DPS-Modern Indian School (DPS-MIS) senior girls emerged as the champions at the Qatar School Debate League (QSDL) Championship season 2019-2020.
Qatar Debates recently announced the league champion for the debate season 2019-2020, which is the cumulative calculation of the whole year’s performance.
Along with the League Championship, the senior girls also brought back the Rolling Trophy home which they lost in the previous year.
DPS-MIS students also shined in the individual categories. Victoria Homoridez was declared as the best speaker followed by Tianna Samal, Aina Merchant and Priyanka Bansal among the first 10 top speakers in the category. Besides, DPS-Modern Indian School senior boys lifted the Runner Up Trophy at Qatar School Debate League Championship season 2019-2020.
DPS-MIS students also shined in the individual categories. Arnaud Viegas, Jaefar Shameem, Pratyush Sinha, Aarav Bedi, Hafiz Ahmed Raffi and Paul Manjaly were among the top 10 speakers in the category.
Meanwhile, this year’s edition of the national QSDL has cancelled due to the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
