Pakistani community leaders in Qatar have sent condolences to the family of Munir Khan Orakzai, a long-time Qatar resident who died in Pakistan on Tuesday.
Tahir Mahmoud, president of Pak Youth Society, described Orakzai’s demise as a big loss to the community and Pakistan as a whole.
He said the late Munir Khan Orakzai was a founder member of Pak Youth Society, a sociocultural community forum established in early 1980’s. He described Orakzai as a humble, caring and loving personality.
Talking to Qatar Tribune from Islamabad, Qazi Mohammad Asghar, former chairman of Pak Youth Society, said Munir Khan Orakzai had always been in the forefront of organising the forum’s activities throughout his stay in Qatar.
He said Orakzai will be remembered by Pakistani expatriates as one who had served the community well during his long stay in Qatar. Shiraz Khan Orakzai, a renowned Pakistani community leader in Qatar from Orakzai’s home town district, has also sent heartfelt condolences to his family. (Ashraf Siddiqui)
