The Ambassador of Indonesia to Qatar HE Muhammad Basri Sidehabi formally inaugurated the new building of the embassy in Onaizah area on Sunday. In his statement on the occasion, Sidehabi emphasised the importance of informing the public about the new office
building of the Indonesian Embassy in Doha and the growing bilateral relations between Indonesia and Qatar.
The owner of the building Muhammad Ibrahim Abdullah Obaidah Fakhroo and several representatives of the Indonesian diaspora in Qatar attended the event wearing masks and maintaining physical distancing in accordance with regulations of the Government of Qatar.
Before shifting to the new building, the embassy’s office was located in the New Salata Area for around 21 years, since 1999.
The new office building of the Indonesia Embassy in Doha has been functioning since June 1, 2020. The embassy will continue to provide its services for around 27,000 of its Indonesian expatriates in Qatar.
The new office building will display Indonesia’s tourism destinations and cultural richness, as well as potentials in the field of trade and investment.
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia is now located at Plot No 13, Street No 943, Zone 66, Al Salmiya, Onaiza, Doha.
