Tribune News NetworkDohaNarayani Sarathkumar, a chartered accountant and alumna of MES Indian School, conducted a career guidance session for Class XII students of the school on the topic ‘Finding your Ikigai - Opportunities and Options in Your Career’, at the conference hall of the school recently.The session aimed at enabling the students to obtain information, experience and skills required to identify various career options. It becomes challenging for students in choosing the right career path when they confront an enormous number of colleges, courses, job opportunities, etc. She stressed that appropriate career choices will provide abundant job opportunities and allow a student to have a respectful and satisfactory life. She also enlisted the career options for each stream and new-age career. The details of studying abroad were also briefed during the session, besides how to choose a career considering interest, affordability and goals.It was an effective session and the students clarified their doubts during the Q&A session. Hameeda Kadar, principal, in her address, motivated the students to choose a career according to their passion to excel in life. The programme was coordinated by Jisha A G from the Department of Guidance & Counselling.
