His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended a reception organised for Qatari Amiri Naval ship Al Zubara and vessel "Msheireb" at Umm Al Houl Naval Base.
The national anthem was played at the outset of the ceremony. After reciting verses from the Holy Quran, a film was shown about the stages of manufacturing the ship and the vessel, as well as the training of the crew working on them, until their return to the country.
The ceremony was attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, HE Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit and HE Commander of the Qatari Amiri Naval Forces Staff Maj. Gen. (Sea) Abdullah bin Hassan Al Sulaiti, in addition to a number of Their Excellencies the heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the State, and a number of senior officials and commanding officers of the Qatari Armed Forces.
