Qatar 2 TV channel of Qatar Media Corporation was launched on Thursday. The new channel will broadcast the most important programmes presented by Qatar TV throughout its history.
CEO of Qatar Media Corporation HE Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani had earlier reviewed the last touches gievn for the broadcast of Qatar 2 TV channel. The channel will braodcast serials, plays and variety programmes from the archives of Qatar TV.
Assistant Director of Qatar TV and Programme Director Mubarak Al Awami said Qatar 2 TV will form a distinct mix of all the materials presented by Qatar TV throughout its history.
The launch of this channel was preceded by days of work to prepare the programmes that deserve replay on the screen, as well as the preparation of a diversified programme schedule, including a number of series, plays and programmes, indicating that the materials chosen for re-telecast will attract viewers.
The teams of Qatar TV have been mobilised for a long time to prepare for the new channel, which is expected to generate large following.
For his part, Hamad Abdel Reda, one of the content supervisors in the channel, stressed that the preparation for the launch of the TV channel started a long time ago. A series of meetings were held to decide the final form of the channel.
Abdel Reda added that the channel’s teams will work to satisfy viewers by choosing the beautiful stages preserved by Qatar TV programmes, and presented throughout its history through media and art celebrities.
