Iraq has thanked Qatar for the support to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
This came as Minister of Public Health HE Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari and Iraqi Health Minister Hassan Mohammed Al Tamimi discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the health sector in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic through a videoconference on Saturday.
The meeting dealt with ways and mechanisms for enhancing cooperation between the two countries as part of implementing the directives of His Highness The Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for sending field hospitals with various medical equipment to Iraq to fight the coronavirus.
The Iraqi minister thanked HH The Amir for his support and praised the blilatral relations between the two countries in various areas.
