Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani has congratulated Badr bin Hammad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman.
In a tweet, the FM wished his new Omani counterpart success and to the bilateral relationship further development and growth.
The FM also appreciated the efforts of the former minister, Yusuf bin Alawi, for his diplomatic efforts that will remain eternal in the history of the Gulf and the region.
“I congratulate my brother His Excellency Badr bin Hammad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs in the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, wishing him success and the bilateral relationship between our two brotherly countries further development and growth. My full appreciation to my brother His Excellency Yusuf bin Alawi for his diplomatic efforts will remain eternal in the history of the Gulf and the region,” the FM said in a tweet on Tuesday.
Al Busaidi has been in the diplomatic service since the 1980s and held a number of posts, including foreign ministry secretary-general.
