Doha Metro has introduced a new free metrolink service on Red Line. The new service, M110, will connect The Pearl-Qatar to the Legtaifiya station.
Legtaifiya station, which opened on September 1, falls between Katara and Qatar University stations and is close to The Pearl-Qatar. This station is also one of the interchange stations with Lusail Tram.
“We are pleased to announce the expansion of our free metrolink services, which now takes you to and from The Pearl-Qatar and Legtaifiya Station!” Doha Metro tweeted. The operation hours for the new metrolink M110: Sat – Wed: 06:00 – 23:00; Thursday: 6:00 – 23:59; Friday: 14:00 – 23:59.
Free, on-demand ride-sharing pilot service by Qatar Rail, metroexpress, has expanded its service to other areas.
“The service will now cover Al Qassar, Katara, Legtaifiya and Qatar University stations. DECC and West Bay stations will also have wider metroexpress coverage,” Doha Metro said in a tweet.
The ride-sharing service provides metro users with quick and convenient access to metro stations and the area nearby and was originally launched in July 2019 for convenient access to DECC and West Bay QIC metro stations.
