HE Sheikh Tamim bin Fahd Al Thani officially won the presidency of Al Arabi Sports Club during the ordinary general assembly meeting of the club held on Wednesday evening.
The general assembly also elected Mohammed bin Jassim Al Kuwait as vice president for the (2020-24) term. It recommended the list of HE Sheikh Tamim bin Fahd Al Thani for being the only list that entered the election race, following the withdrawal of Ahmed Hilal Al Khulaifi’s list.
The meeting was attended by a large number of members, who declared their support for the new president in order to achieve the hopes and aspirations of Al Arabi Club.
HE Sheikh Tamim expressed pleasure for obtaining the confidence of the general assembly, referring to a work plan that will be carried out within a week, as well as support and investments to enhance the capabilities of the club.
