The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has signed a cooperation agreement with the National Service Academy of the Ministry of Defence, regarding training of national service recruits.
The agreement was signed by Kahramaa President Engineer Issa bin Hilal Al Kuwari and President of the National Service Academy Major-General Saeed Hamad Al Nuaimi.
Eng Kuwari expressed happiness at signing the agreement with the National Service Academy, stressing that Kahramaa is keen to strengthen cooperation with all national authorities and institutions in line with the goals that support the development of society and ensure the country’s need for electricity and water on a permanent and regular basis, in order to maintain its water and electrical security in the long term.
He said the agreement includes various areas of cooperation between the two parties, which include the exchange of experiences in training and development, as Kahramaa will provide opportunities to train recruited students, employees and members of the National Service Academy, in addition to implementing joint projects and initiatives, and will provide the two parties with opportunities for development in several fields.
He added that Kahramaa continues to develop its partnerships to exchange expertise and experiences, believing in the vital and effective role that government agencies play in serving the nation and society, which enhance performance and achieve the ambitious Qatar National Vision 2030.
For his part, Major-General Nuaimi stressed the importance of the cooperation agreement with Kahramaa according to which it will provide field training to students and employees of the National Service Academy, and opportunities for training on the drinking water system, electrical and water installations, solar energy technologies and their uses, in addition to related programmes and activities.
He said cooperation with Kahramaa reflects the ability of national institutions to present initiatives related to cooperation in training and exchange of experiences, noting that the agreement enables Qatari cadres to improve their performance and learn about work mechanisms in one of the most important national institutions.
