The Armed Forces concluded the Nasr 2020 exercise, in the presence of Chief of Staff of Qatari Armed Forces HE Lieutenant General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem, on Thursday. Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training HE Major-General Hamad Ahmed Al Nuaimi, who was also the head of Nasr 2020, said the exercise saw the participation of all branches of the Armed Forces, along with a Turkish force. Artillery, Apache attack helicopters and naval artillery participated in the exercise in phase four under a joint command, highlighting the important role played by unmanned drones in extracting the coordinates of targets. The concluding part of the exercise was attended by Turkey’s Ambassador to Qatar HE Mehmet Mustafa Goksu and top officers from the Qatari Armed Forces. (QNA)
