Qatar and Turkey enjoy close brotherly and strategical relations in several areas, including bilateral, regional and international levels, Ambassador of Turkey to Qatar HE Dr Mehmet Mustafa Goksu has said.
He was speaking at an official reception hosted on the occasion of the 97th
Turkish Foundation Day celebrations.
The envoy said that bilateral relations between the two countries have witnessed remarkable progress in recent years in almost all fields, adding that expansion of cooperation between Turkey and Qatar as major players in the region is of significant importance in the face of the complex challenges in the region and beyond.
“Our exemplary cooperation is a source of special hope for victims of persecution, not only in our immediate vicinity, but also around the world, the Turkish ambassador said, stressing that although it’s a matter of pride for him to represent his country in such a dear and close friendly country, it makes his job challenging to enrich a partnership that is already excellent.
He expressed full commitment to do his best to develop the relationship under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Amir of Qatar His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
He expressed confidence that with the support of the two leaders, he will further enhance the partnership between both the two brotherly countries.

Dr Mehmet Mustafa Goksu assumed his responsibilities as ambassador of Turkey to Qatar after presenting his credentials to the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on August 12, 2020.
