The Parliament in the Republic of Panama welcomed the announcement of His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to hold elections for the Shura Council in October next year. Similarly, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco Habib El Malki praised the announcement by HH the Amir regarding the Shura Council elections. He said the elections would be an important step in enhancing the participation of citizens in the legislative process, and would constitute a new building block in the process of development and modernisation Qatar has known under the wise leadership of HH the Amir.
