HE OCA President Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad Al Sabah will preside over the General Assembly with the participation of the heads and delegates of the 45 Asian National Olympic Committees. The 24 representatives of National Olympic Committees in Asian countries will attend the meeting in Muscat, while 21 committees will participate via video conference due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
Doha has very high potential to help it win the right to organise the Asian Games, especially the mega sports facilities such as the sports village which will be built for this matter, as well as the presence of giant sports complexes, halls and playgrounds at the highest level that have been praised by sports figures on more than one occasion.
Qatar has a pioneering experience in organising the Asian Games, as it has hosted the Doha Asian Games in 2006, which was one of the best events. It was praised by all and considered by the OCA as a milestone in the organising process, and its opening ceremony was and still among the most amazing events of all those that were held earlier.
The OCA Executive Office meeting was held on Tuesday and attended by HE Second Vice-President of the Qatar Olympic Committee and OCA Vice-President Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahman Al Kuwari.
During the meeting, the team of the Qatar 2030 file made a presentation on what will be provided at the upcoming Asian Games, and it was a distinguished presentation and highlighted the great Qatari ambition and desire to host the Asian Games for a second time in the history of the Games.
