Qatar Airways, proud sponsor of the Amir Cup final, congratulated Al Sadd SC, who were crowned Amir Cup champions a 17th time after the final that coincided with the historic inauguration of Al Rayyan Stadium.
The match took place on Qatar National Day, marking exactly two years until the final of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The Al Rayyan Stadium is the latest FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM Stadium to be unveiled, embodying various aspects of Qatari heritage, combined with the sleekness of its modern design, with its most striking feature being its illuminating façade and patterns that reflect the core pillars of Qatar. The 40,000-seater stadium is set to host seven matches up to round 16 stage of the FIFA World Cup.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said, “We remain committed to supporting the national vision of our country, and there is no better way to combine our passion for sport and innovation than on the important occasion of Qatar’s National Day. We would like to extend our appreciation to the Qatar Football Association for organising this year’s Amir Cup, our partnership with whom demonstrates our dedication to sponsoring world-class sports tournaments and teams.”
