Beats and Bytes Dancers The New Breed, the oldest Filipino dance production in Qatar, organised a charity event for the benefit of typhoon victims in the Philippines recently.
The initiative called ‘Ahon’ (Rise Up) Dance Class marked the group’s celebration of its 13th year of providing quality entertainment and community service in Qatar.
The event was led by young choreographers at the Music and Arts Atelier Performing Arts Dance Studio located at the Gate Mall and was attended by dance enthusiasts who have supported the group’s efforts over the years.
The activity was held in compliance with proper distancing and health protocols in view of the pandemic.
Proceeds from the dance class for a cause went to the Philippine Red Cross Nueva Vizcaya Chapter for Cagayan and Isabela and Barangay Quinastillojan in Tabaco City, Albay.
Aside from the charity event, the group also held a four-day free-of-charge dance class offered to a limited number of dance enthusiasts. The class was organised in collaboration with DT ProduQtion as the dance troupe’s way of giving back to and thanking the community.
