Youth Forum, a socio-cultural volunteer gathering of young Indian expatriates, honoured Dr Abdullatif Al Khal, chairman of the National Strategic Health Group (NSHG) on COVID-19 under the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), for his efforts in fighting the pandemic and protecting the health of the society.
Dr Khal, who is also the head of the Infectious Disease Division at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), together with other NSHG members, has played an important role in the MoPH’s COVID-19-prevention efforts in Qatar.
Commenting on the honour, Dr Khal lauded the services rendered by the youth in support of the efforts to combat COVID-19 pandemic, stressing that youth have an important role to play in this pandemic.
While appreciating the role of the Youth Forum, he said that there is still much to be done in the fight against the pandemic.
Youth Forum Vice-President Absal Abdhutty Muhammed presented a memento to Dr Khal at a ceremony held at the Education City Building in Doha, in the presence of Central Committee members Ahmad Anwar, Mohammad Anees, Mohammad Abdul Rahman and Mohammad Ashraf.
Youth Forum is a socio-cultural volunteer gathering of young Indian expatriates which has been working in Qatar for past decade for the general wellbeing of expatriate communities with an emphasis on Indian expats.
Youth Forum has established a credible presence in Qatar with its sports, cultural and humanitarian activities in association with various Qatari government and non-government organisations and other Indian community
organisations.
