The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) on Monday officially launched the new logo for the Qatari product.
The ministry said that the grace period for replacing the current logo with the new logo is six months from the date of the circular, and all manufacturers, producers and outlets must adhere to this.
In a video broadcast on its official Twitter account on Tuesday, the ministry explained that there are six terms for using the new logo.
All manufacturers and producers as well as sales outlets, who have obtained necessary approvals and licences, are allowed to use the logo.
The logo may be placed on advertising publications and materials for marketing purposes.
The logo can be used on all locally manufactured and semi-manufactured products.
The logo can be applied on the front cover of the product’s packaging or any other side that is clearly visible to consumers. It should not be placed under the product.
Adherence to the design guidelines is mandatory, the ministry said adding that changing the shape and content of the logo is not permitted.
Logo stickers can be placed on shipping and distribution vehicles and must be designed to be proportional to the vehicle’s size, the ministry said.
