Ooredoo has announced a new initiative in conjunction with the Qatar Cancer Society in honour of World Cancer Day 2021.
To help Qatar Cancer Society continue its invaluable work with cancer patients and their families, as well as its work within the wider community, the telecommunications leader encourages members of its loyalty programme, Nojoom, to donate their points to the Society. The Qatar Cancer Society actively seeks to raise awareness of the disease, educate communities and promote early detection. Its campaign for World Cancer Day 2021 is ‘I am, I will,’ recognising that each individual’s commitment to action will lead to strong progress in reducing the global impact of cancer, and that actions – large or small – will lead to lasting, positive change.
In order to encourage as many Nojoom members as possible to donate their points, Ooredoo has set an ambitious target of an incredible 2 million Nojoom Points. Members can donate via the Ooredoo App or the Ooredoo website and will be able to track progress towards the target via the dedicated Donation Meter page.
Sabah Rabiah Al-Kuwari, Director PR at Ooredoo, said: "We have a long-standing partnership with the Qatar Cancer Society and we are very pleased to be working with them on this charitable initiative. Their work in the community is invaluable, and we are honoured to be able to support them in any way we can. We would encourage our members to donate their points wherever possible; I have every faith that we will meet our ambitious goal, and we would like to thank our members in advance for their generosity.”
