As part of its efforts to raise awareness of the National Framework for Information Security Compliance, the National Cyber Security Agency recently organised an event on ‘National Information Security Compliance Framework (NISCF) – Compliance – Value Proposition’.

Seeking to promote NCSA and NISCF, the National Cyber Governance and Assurance Affairs event awarded certificates of accreditation and compliance in relation to the National Information Security Compliance Framework (NISCF) at NCSA Headquarters.

Mazars Consultants, Auditors and Partners Qatar and Deloitte & Touché Qatar were awarded for their re-accreditation as National Information Assurance (NIA) Audit Service Providers. Qatar Navigation Q.P.S.C obtained the National Information Assurance (NIA) Certification after auditing all the business units which is considered a huge success for implementing NIA over large scopes.

In her opening speech, Engineer Dana Al Abdulla, Director of Cyber Governance And Assurance Affairs at the National Cyber Security Agency, presented a number of significant topics focusing on the benefits of cyber security compliance on economic, social, technological, environmental and legal aspects to ensure their operation in a secure manner and thus achieve the national and agency’s visions to emphasise the importance of cyber security compliance as a major element for securing the nation.

Furthermore, the Director of Cyber Governance and Assurance Affairs discussed the different cyber security compliance initiatives and accreditation programmes and their development history.

The event also included a workshop on the value proposition of Compliance to the National Information Security Compliance Framework (NISCF) programmes with inputs from Ernest & Young Qatar and Microsoft Qatar Q.P.S.C.

It included different topics related to the National Information Assurance Framework while introducing the current available services and the ones under development and the requirements needed to initiate the process for obtaining compliance and accreditation certificates for government and private entities in an effort to enhance the posture of cyber security eco system.
