The Junior girls of DPS-Modern Indian School (MIS) won the first place in the Qatar Preparatory School Debate League-II by winning eight out of nine debates.
In the team category, the team comprising Gargee Kanade, Manjushree Magesh and Anah Merchant bagged the first position, the team of Drishti Tibrewal, Antara Alurkar and Geetika Yalamanchili won the 2nd place, while the team composed of Asin Ashraf, Vaidehi Rogiye and Amishi Negi finished at the 6th place.
In the individual category, Amishi Negi, Anah Merchant and Vaidehi Rogiye shared the 3rd position, Drishti Tibrewal stood at 6th place, Manjushree Magesh and Antara Alurkar at 7th place, Gargee Kanade and Geetika Yalamanchili at 12th place, while Asin Ashraf earned 18th position.
The tournament was conducted via online platform ‘Discord’ with the participation of 101 debaters and 34 teams from 19 institutions. It consisted of three debate rounds -- two prepared and one impromptu motion.
