Al Wakrah and Al Gharafa clubs scored wins in their respective semi-finals in the Amir Cup Basketball at the Al Gharafa courts on Thursday. While Al Gharafa defeated Al Sadd 91-89 (27-17, 18-24, 21-18, 25-30), Al Wakrah beat Qatar Sports Club 90-53 (31-12, 27-9, 18-19, 14-11). B. Spearman scored the most (23) points for Al Wakrah followed by J. Coles Jr (22) and A. Abdelhaleem (16).
For Al Gharafa, F. Session Jr. Li scored 21 points while R. Al Abdulla and T. Harris scored 20 each.
The two sides will clash in
the final on Saturday (March 13) at 6pm.
