Qatar’s first private radio station, Radio Malayalam 98.6 FM, which started broadcasting on 31st October 2017, launched its fifth-anniversary celebrations recently.

Azamat Namatov, the Commercial Attaché from the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Qatar, inaugurated the campaign in a ceremony held at Al Sharq Village - Ritz Carlton Hotel, Doha.

ICBF President Vinod Nair, ICC President P.N. Baburaj, Vice President Subramanya Hebbagilu, QFM Vice Chairman Saud Al Kuwari, KBF General Secretary Nihad Ali, KEC President Sharif Chirakal, and others felicitated the function and highlighted the achievements of Radio Malayalam.

KC Abdul Latheef, the Vice Chairman of the QFM Radio Network, presided over the function. Anvar Hussain, the CEO, delivered the introductory speech, and Noufal Abdurahman, the Marketing Manager, delivered the vote of thanks.

The event also announced prizes worth over 150,000 riyals for radio listeners including free foreign travel, adventure trip, resort stays in India and Qatar, iPhones, smartphones, island trips, and hangouts.

Malayalam Radio’s long-time partners including Lulu Group International, Naseem Healthcare, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Zaitoon Restaurants, Truth Group, Good Will Cargo, Raheep Media, etc. were honoured with the ‘Star Partner’ status. Prominent entrepreneurs and senior managers from various businesses and sponsors also attended the event.
