Major General Abdulaziz Abdullah Al-Ansari, Chairman of the Security and Safety Operations Committee; Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Al Muhana Al Marri, Director General of the Police College; and Charge d’ Affaires of Qatar to Moldova, Hamad Rashid Al-Athba, were honored with Medal of Merit of the Republic of Moldova.
Minister of Interior Affairs of Moldova HE Pavel Voicu presented the medals at a simple ceremony held in the embassy premises. Those present on the occasion included Ambassador of Moldova HE Prof Dr Victor Tvircun and members of the delegation accompanying the interior minister of Moldova. The Moldovan interior minister thanked the awardees for their sincere efforts in strengthening the bilateral relations between the interior ministries of the two countries.
“It is important for both the countries to work together for the good of our society and our people,” the Moldovan Interior Minister said, adding that there are number of sectors where both the countries can cooperate and support each other.
Major General Abdulaziz Abdullah Al-Ansari and Brigadier Dr Mohammed Abdullah Al Muhana Al Marri, Director General of the Police College; and Charge d’ Affaires of Qatar to Moldova, Hamad Rashid Al-Athba thanked the government of Moldova especially the Moldovan minister of interior for honouring them with the prestigious medal.
The Moldovan interior affairs minister was in Qatar as the head of the the delegation to attend the Milipol Qatar 2021 exhibition.
During his stay in Qatar, the Moldovan interior affairs minister met with Prime Minister and Interior Minister of Qatar HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani. His delegation included Stefan Pavlov, General Commander of General Inspectorate of Carabiniers; Vitalle Bostan, Deputy Head of General Police Inspectorate; and Ina Bogatil, Head of Institutional Development and International Project, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
