The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended a reception ceremony held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on the occasion of announcing a new partnership with Qatar Museums in New York. HH the Amir toured the museum and visited the Islamic Art Collection area, now named Qatar Hall, to view its archaeological and historic holdings, as well as its Islamic manuscripts and artwork. He was also briefed on the outcome of the fruitful cooperation between Qatar Museums and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. HH the Amir later attended a luncheon banquet held on occasion. The ceremony was attended by Chairperson of Qatar Museums HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, a number of members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir, ranking officials and guests.
