QATAR'S Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani arrived on an official visit to Kuwait on Sunday.
During his visit, the PM met with the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah at Bayan Palace in Kuwait city.
At the meeting's outset, the PM conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the Emir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani to the Emir of Kuwait, and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the brotherly Kuwaiti people.
For his part, the Emir of Kuwait entrusted the PM with his greetings and wishes to HH the Emir and his wishes of further growth and prosperity to the Qatari people. Talks during the meeting dealt with the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and ways of enhancing them.
The meeting was attended by the Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah and a number of ministers. Members of the official delegation accompanying the PM were also present.
The PM also met the Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber al Mubarak al Hamad al Sabah at the Bayan Palace on Sunday morning.
Furthermore, the PM met Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad al Khalid al Hamad al Sabah at the Interior Ministry headquarters. Talks during the meeting dealt with cooperation between the two brotherly countries, especially in the field of joint security cooperation.
The PM then attended a luncheon banquet hosted by Kuwait's Deputy PM. The banquet was attended by ministers and senior officials.
The Premier returned to Doha later on Sunday, ending his official visit to Kuwait. He was seen upon departure at the Kuwait International Airport by Kuwait's Deputy PM and Qatar's Ambassador to Kuwait HE Hamad bin Ali al Henzab.
