Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting held at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday.
Following the meeting, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti said the Cabinet has approved a draft Cabinet decision with the necessary terms and conditions to grant the developer the concession to develop and manage an industrial zone.
The preparation of the draft decision is based on the provisions of Article 3 of Law No 8 of 2018 regarding industrial zones, which stipulates that a decision issued by the Cabinet upon the proposal of the Minister of Commerce and Industry may grant the developer the concession to develop and manage an industrial zone under a concession contract in accordance with the terms and conditions of the decision issued by the Cabinet, based on a proposal by the minister.
The Cabinet also approved decision to accede to the Convention Relating to the Distribution of Program-Carrying Signals Transmitted by Satellite.
The Cabinet also approved a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of diplomatic training and education between the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar and the Diplomatic Academy of the Peruvian Javier Perez de Cuellar Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Peru.
The Cabinet followed up the arrangements and preparations to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and took the appropriate decision in their regard.
The Cabinet also reviewed the report of the group designated to study the procedures and measures that may be taken to support national products and took the appropriate decision in this regard.
