Doha Festival City (DFC), Qatar’s one and only choice for shopping, dining and entertainment, has announced the launch of the first-of-its-kind ‘Festival Eats’ TV, shedding light on the range of global dining offers available exclusively at the mall.
The new ‘Festival Eats’ series will feature a host of renowned foodies to review a specific outlet from the myriad of brands available at the mall.
The TV series will be broadcast on the Doha Festival City social media channels, including its YouTube channel, the last Wednesday of every month at 7pm, featuring a F&B outlet and a new host in each episode.
The first episode will feature Doha Festival City’s most recent addition and much-anticipated dining destination, Karafirin restaurant, located by the South food court entrance, ground floor of the mall.
Since 1996, Karafirin has been operating across 24 stores in Istanbul. Karafirin ethos is to create places where guests feel valuable and enjoy delicious food that nourishes the soul by addressing the five senses. The restaurant reflects the warmth of Anatolia and the modern vibes and architecture of Istanbul.
‘Festival Eats’ first episode will be hosted by the renowned food blogger Rachel Morris, who will share her insights and experience following her visit to Karafirin, where she will review the restaurant and shed light on its interiors, atmosphere and exclusive food choices.
Each episode of ‘Festival Eats’ will offer a contest where customers can answer a question for a chance to win a prize from the featured outlet. In this first episode, Karafirin will offer a breakfast for two people.
Commenting on the launch of ‘Festival Eats’ TV, DFC General Manager Robert Hall said, "We are pleased to provide innovative platforms to share with our customers the range of incredible offerings at the Mall and to assist them in selecting their next favourite destination from the wide selection of food and beverage outlets available at Doha Festival City. ‘Festival Eats’ follows last year’s great success with the launch of Fashion Festival TV ‘FFTV’ episodes, and the great feedback received from customers on how it helped them make their shopping choices."
"We would like to invite all our customers to reap the benefits of this great new platform that will provide them every month with a first-hand preview of one of the restaurants, taking them on a virtual journey that will guide them to make informed choices once they visit the Mall,” Robert added.

DFC is home to over 100 dining options which include some of the most popular restaurants in the world.
The mall offers a range of fast food as well as casual dining outlets situated in convenient locations throughout the mall, where customers can savour the best of delicacies.
Visitors to the mall can also enjoy a culinary journey at restaurants that made their debut in Qatar like Jaimie’s Italian, Maki, Bubba Gump shrimp and co., Aimee’s Café, Five Guys, The Coffee Club, and much more.
DFC opening hours are Saturday to Wednesday from 10am to 10 pm, and Thursday to Friday from 10am to 11pm.
In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, DFC has introduced stringent health and safety measures throughout the mall for its staff and visitors. This includes a thorough mall disinfection treatment on a weekly basis, robust cleaning and sanitisation operations during mall trading hours, 127 hand sanitising stations installed in the areas that have commonly touched surfaces.
In line with the new restrictions imposed, prayer rooms at the mall will be closed and kids below 12 are not allowed inside the mall.
At the entrance to the mall and all shops, visitors must show their green Ehteraz QR code, and should wear a face mask during their whole time in the mall. Physical distancing stickers in common queuing areas, such as ATM machines, banks, telecommunication kiosks and branches and various retail shops were installed to help shoppers keep the required physical distance as set forth in the guidelines by the authorities. Stores will provide sanitizers on entry and at cash points to ensure the highest level of hygiene.
