The Al Sadd first team squad departed for Riyadh on Sunday ahead of their participation in the group stage of the AFC Champions League 2021.
The QNB Stars League champions will play in the Group D of the AFC Champions League, which includes Al Nassr (Saudi Arabia), Al Wehdat (Jordan), and Foolad (Iran).
The Al Sadd delegation includes members of the technical and administrative staff as well as 24 players, and is headed by Turki Al Ali, the club’s general manager.
Squad: Saad Al Dossari, Meshaal Barsham, Jehad Muhammad, Yousuf Al Balushi, Ahmed Sayyar, Pedro Miguel, Hassan Al Haydos, Nam Tae hee, Muhammad Waad, Khoukhi Boualem, Guilherme Torres, Rodrigo Tabata, Baghdad Bounedjah, Salem Al Hajri, Tarek Salman, Yousuf Abdurisag, Hussam Kamal, Musab Khidir, Ahmed Suhail, Bahaa Al Laithi, Hashem Ali, Abdelkarim Hassan, Santi Cazorla, Ali Asad.
Administrative staff: Turki Nasser Al Ali, (General Manager), Muhammad Ghulam Al Balushi (Sports Director), Abdullah Al Breik (First Team Manager), Muhammad Saeed (First Team Officer), Abdulaziz Al Jaidi (U-23 Team Manager).
Technical staff: Xavi Hernandez (Head Coach), Sergio Alegre (Assistant Coach), Oscar Hernandez (Assistant Coach), Evan Torres (Fitness Coach), Xavi Fernando (Goalkeeper Coach), David Prats, Sergio Garcia and Tony Lobo (Analysts), Flavio Cruz (Team Doctor), Raouf Bougamra, Akram Obaid and Carlos Nogueira (Physiotherapists), Admir (Massage Specialist), Yousuf Shaheen, Samir Shawqi and Kiran Nanu (Club Media Staff), Abdul Malik Wahid, Musa Puthan and Muhammad Imran (Support Staff).
The team held their last training session in Doha at 6pm on Saturday, after their 3-0 win over Qatar SC, in the 22nd and last round of the QNB Stars League.
Meanwhile, Akram Afif was ruled out of the squad as he is still recovering from a muscle injury.
