Qatar Charity (QC) has signed three agreements in Kosovo to introduce quality programmes and provide social assistance. Among the projects are mosque construction, well digging, and assistance to needy families.

He also signed a second agreement with KESCO worth more than QR2 million to cover the electricity bills of 866 low-income families for an entire year. He also signed a third deal with Timlje Municipality to drill 38 water wells.
The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Albania and Kosovo, HE Ali bin Hamad Al-Marri, emphasised Qatar and Kosovo’s distinguished relations. His Excellency added that we in the State of Qatar attach importance to strengthening relations with the Republic of Kosovo in various fields, implying that signing these agreements is a gift from the people of Qatar to our brothers in Kosovo through Qatar Charity.
His Excellency praised the State of Qatar’s long-term support for the Republic of Kosovo in areas such as health, education, housing, and relief, and expressed hope for continued cooperation between the two countries.
Ilir Kapiti, Deputy Minister of Finance and Labor, thanked the State of Qatar for its effective humanitarian contributions in Kosovo and expressed hope that this cooperation would continue in the future.
The greetings of the people of Qatar were conveyed to the people of Kosovo by Nawaf al-Hammadi, the CEO’s assistant for International Operations and Programs at Qatar Charity. “We at Qatar Charity are pleased with this partnership that has lasted more than 21 years in Kosovo,” said al-Hammadi adding that signing these agreements is an extension of Qatar Charity’s work and duty to the people of Kosovo.
Sheikh Naim Ternava, Grand Mufti of the Republic of Kosovo, praised Qatar Charity and the Islamic Sheikhdom for their constructive cooperation, particularly in the implementation of mosque projects. He stated that the construction of this mosque will improve the quality of life and infrastructure in this part of the Ferizaj municipality. He also expressed his appreciation to the Qatari people and government, as well as Qatar Charity.
The mayor of Timlje, Naim Ismajli, who signed the well drilling agreement, praised the State of Qatar for extending a helping hand to the people of Kosovo, praising the role of Qatar Charity in project implementation. He stated that this agreement came at an opportune time, especially given that we are in the midst of the summer season, when the level of water in the municipality’s villages drops dramatically. He stated that by carrying out this well project, many poor families’ water problems will be solved.
