He said the ministry has spared no effort in providing vaccination to prevent the spread of the virus among teachers. He said almost 80 percent of the educational and administrative staff in schools have been vaccinated.
The school environment is comfortable and safe, and all precautionary measures have been applied, he added.
Dr Al Nuaimi said that no allowances will be deducted for a teacher with COVID-19, referring to the teacher’s illness period, which is considered an exceptional sick leave and no part of the teacher’s salary is deducted even if he/she misses a week or 14 days or even more.
In the event that they are assigned to tasks during the leave, the headmaster of the school must address the human resources and the allowances deducted will be returned to the teacher, he added
