The MES Indian School’s Abu Hamour campus started virtual classes on Tuesday. The pre-opening interaction with parents and students began with messages from President of the Governing Board K Abdul Karim and Principal Dr Mohammed Haneef.
“The long-cherished dream of the management to open a second campus is a reality today, and by this we mean to extend and offer the outstanding educational service of MES Indian School to a larger community, providing quality education for every child to grow as a holistic person,” said K Abdul Karim.
“Dealing and fruitfully engaging the students of the 21st century is the biggest challenge for teachers. But, if we are well aware of the problems and make advance preparations, this can be done comfortably. Along with traditional teaching-learning, the new generation of children needs a lot of additional aspects to keep them occupied with academic matters. For that, the school will do all it can to make the schooling a pleasurable experience for the learners,” the principal said in his speech.
Later, the teachers interacted with the students of their classes and established a rapport with them. Teachers encouraged the students to be ready for a wonderful educational onward journey with MESIS, with an exclusive activity-based learning pedagogy. From Wednesday onwards the school became fully functional with the commencement of the virtual classes.
The exclusive highlights of the school like FM Radio, Green Army, Star Chase, Happiness Centre, Value Education, Moral Education, etc. will also be implemented in a modified way to suit the online methodology. The school is also planning to conduct its first ‘School Parliament Election’ in a 100 percent democratic way.
Principal Dr Haneef, urged parents to provide maximum support to their kids to get on with the online classes and complete the tasks. The role of the parents during the virtual learning period is more than the actual learning time. The school will eventually justify the tagline ‘Together, Towards an Edu-Revolution’.
