The Philippine Nurses Association-Qatar (PNA-Q) announced its new set of officers during its virtual annual assembly held recently.
More than 100 Filipino nurses in Qatar took part in the virtual event which also saw the oath-taking of the officers to serve the association for 2021- 2022 headed by Peach Dale Esloyo as the new president.
Esloyo works as the Education and Training Director and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Chairman of Qatar Care.
According to Esloyo, his presidency for PNA-Q shall aim to achieve developing a new ID system, strengthening collaborations and improving continuing education programmes for nurses relevant to the community they serve.
Speaking on the occasion, Mary Rose Uy, the 2019-2020 PNA-Q president, urged the newly-inducted president Esloyo to continue what the association had started and established, especially in serving the Filipino nurses in Qatar and the community.
Uy will serve as business manager under the new leadership of the association.
Aside from Esloyo and Uy, the PNA-Q new leadership also includes Norwil Baguio (Vice-President), Vesa Lara Malaine Raga (Secretary), Jane Lam (Treasurer), Grethel Dela Paz Hajan (Auditor) and Zorayda Zaide (Public Relations Officer).
PNA-Q 2021-2022 officers extended their gratitude to the former officers for their invaluable service during the past two years.
Esloyo said, “We will never falter and we will continue to be the beacon of hope among Filipino nurses and the community they serve, especially when our service is direly needed in these challenging times.”
The current global pandemic may have curtailed many plans and activities of PNA-Q but it remains undaunted in spreading positivity and unity where it is needed the most.
The virtual oath-taking ceremony was also witnessed by Engr Adonis Talabo, chairman of the Philippine Professional Organization – Qatar (PPO-Q).
