As its first initiative, the Middle Section of MES Indian School, in collaboration with the Department of English, organised an Inter-Class debate competition on the topic: "Is it necessary to enforce uniforms for school children?”. This was held recently via the Zoom platform for students from all divisions of Class-V.
The English teachers from their respective classes were chosen for the final round based on the results of the preliminary round. For the final presentation, two students from each class were chosen. There were 12 people who spoke in favor of and against the motion. Mr. Jency George moderated the debate. All of the competitors were of equal calibre and competed enthusiastically.
Hameeda Kadar, Principal of M.E.S Indian School, praised the team of aspiring debaters for their enthusiasm in oratory skills.
Mohammed Ilias, Head of Boys’ Section and Vice Principal (officiating), Jas M.A., Middle School Headmaster, and Mr. D.A.S Rex, Co-ordinator, Deapartment of English, Boys’ Section congratulated the participants.
The teachers who helped organise the event were Jency George, Sreejith K.N., Praveesh Jose, Anfarsafiyulla, Vijaya Sharmila, and Shravya Manjrekar. In recognition of their participation and efforts, all participants received E-Certificates.
