Doha Festival City (DFC), Qatar’s choice for shopping, dining and entertainment, is welcoming Eid Al-Fitr with a variety of fun and exciting online engaging activities starting from the first day of Eid, inviting visitors to share in the generous spirit of Eid Al-Fitr.
Starting from May 12, Doha Festival City will display Eid Al-Fitr greeting message on all digital screens, as well as several installations allowing visitors to take special Eid Al-Fitr pictures and take part in engaging displays and learn more about Eid Al-Fitr around the world.
Beautiful Eid decorations will adorn the mall inside and outside.
DFC invites everyone to express their love and gratitude this Eid by sharing photos with Eid Al-Fitr messages and post them on their public accounts with the hashtag #EidatFestivalCity, tagging @dohafestcity.
Selected pictures will be displayed on the dedicated media wall at the 1st floor Centre Court, starting from May 13.
To make Eid celebrations even more exciting for families, while following the current guidelines that restrict access to the mall for the kids below 16 years old, DFC will run a social media photo competition that will allow kids to take part in the mall’s celebrations from the safety of their homes.
Encouraging parents to dress their kids in the best Eid outfits and post a photo on their public accounts with the hashtag #EidatFestivalCity and follow @dohafestcity, Doha Festival City will award the winner with a special gift – hadiya – of QR1,000.
The online competition is open to all kids up to 12 years old and three lucky winners will be announced on May 17, 2021.

We welcome everyone to experience the spirit of Eid Al-Fitr and celebrate this joyous occasion with Doha Festival City.”
A special ‘Eid Mubarak’ display at the Atrium Node near West Court 1 Entrance will also consist of a large lantern filled with gifts 3D figures for families to take pictures by, as well as a book-shaped part with Eid greetings in different languages, offering visitors an opportunity to learn more about Eid Al-Fitr wishes and greetings from around the world.
Axis node installations will boast various shapes, colours and symbols of Eid where shoppers will also be able to take creative pictures, keeping the warmest memories of 2021 Eid celebrations.
In addition, a 3D lettering ‘What A Feeling’ and an ‘Eid Mubarak’ displays will be located at Market Node, where visitors can also take photos and share them on social media.
Between May 12 and May 15, general mall trading hours will be from 10am to 12am, with an option to trade until 1am for all retailers, and 2am for F&B outlets operating for takeaway and delivery.
The hypermarket will be open from 9am to 12am.
In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, Doha Festival City has introduced stringent health and safety measures throughout the mall for its staff and visitors. This includes a thorough mall disinfection treatment on a weekly basis, robust cleaning and sanitisation operations during mall trading hours, 225 hand sanitising stations installed in the areas that have commonly touched surfaces.
At the entrance to the mall and all shops, visitors must show their green Ehteraz QR code, and should wear a face mask during their whole time in the mall.
Following the latest government restrictions, kids below 16 years old are not allowed to enter the mall, and the mall continues to operate with overall capacity and parking spaces reduced to 30 percent.
All food courts, restaurants and cafés are closed until further notice, with takeaway and delivery options still available. Fitting rooms of all retail stores, prayer rooms and ablution areas, health and beauty centres, Edge Fitness, kids’ playgrounds, play centres and theme parks are closed until further notice.
Physical distancing stickers in common queuing areas, such as ATM machines, banks, telecommunication kiosks and branches and various retail shops were installed to help shoppers keep the required physical distance as set forth in the guidelines by the authorities.
Stores will provide sanitisers on entry and at cash points to ensure the highest level of hygiene.
