Chairman of the Qatar Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza Ambassador HE Mohammed Al Emadi has confirmed that the committee will start distributing urgent relief to the families of the martyrs whose houses have been demolished in the Gaza Strip during the ongoing crisis, on Monday.
Ambassador Al Emadi explained that the cash assistance will be provided to the families of the martyrs in all governorates, whose number has reached about 150 until now, as well as to the owners of completely demolished homes, which amounted to about 500, the partially damaged houses that are not fit for housing, about 300 in number, in coordination with government agencies in the Gaza strip. He said this urgent aid comes in order to alleviate the suffering of the families of the martyrs and to enable those affected to purchase basic necessities, or pay rent for temporary housing and others.
Al Emadi said the aid comes within the efforts of Qatar to support the residents of the Gaza Strip and stand by them during the current crisis and to alleviate their suffering in various areas of life.
