The Junior section of the MES Indian School conducted its PHL Ceremony 2020-21 recently. A total of 817 students from grades I to IV, who proved their academic excellence, were placed on the Principal’s Roll of Honour (PHL) and were felicitated at the glittering ceremony.
The Principal’s Roll of Honour was instituted to acknowledge students for their outstanding academic performance. The event was conducted online and streamed live on the school’s Facebook account.
Chief guest K Abdul Karim, president of MES Governing Board, congratulated the PHL holders for their remarkable achievement and urged them to develop tenacity and steadfastness while encountering challenges in their pursuit of excellence.
The school’s principal, Hameeda Kadar appreciated the outstanding achievement of the recipients of Principal’s Roll of Honour. She also praised the parents and teachers for playing a supportive role which enabled the students to win the coveted honour.
The programme also witnessed screening of recorded performances by students. Soulful rendition of songs and a mesmerising dance performance captivated the audience.
Members of the school management, vice principals, heads of section, head of academic inspection, school officials, heads of department, parents, teachers and students were present on the occasion.
Sara Gigani welcomed the attendees, while Ateeq Ur Rahman proposed the vote of thanks.
The ICT Department ensured the successful conduct of the programme on the virtual platform.
Fahira Manas and Shari Lijo, teachers in charge of the PHL function, coordinated the event.
