Qatar Charity and Rafeeq signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on humanitarian and community service projects. The MuO comes under the purview of corporate social responsibility.
Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo, CEO’s Assistant for Resources Development and Media Sector at Qatar Charity, and Abdullah Thamer Al-Hemaidi, CEO of Rafeeq, signed the agreement.
The agreement is thought to be the largest of its kind in the field of collaboration between Qatar Charity and Qatari businesses. It seeks to form a strategic alliance to support charitable campaigns and projects, as well as to promote the values of giving to benefit society.
The agreement focuses on humanitarian cooperation by encouraging Rafeeq’s customers to donate more quickly and easily. The two parties agreed that Rafeeq will provide a platform within its app for users to donate.
Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo, Qatar Charity’s CEO’s Assistant for Resources Development and Media Sector, expressed his delight at the signing of the MoU, viewing it as the culmination of a long partnership and continuous work with Rafeeq.
He added that one of the strategic pillars of Qatar Charity is to work and collaborate with all institutions from the private and public sectors to help others and contribute to the development of a humane solidary society, implying that collaboration will help achieve the goals.
Rafeeq CEO Abdullah Thamer Al-Hemaidi stated that the company is eager to collaborate with local partners, expressing his delight at signing the MoU with Qatar Charity, which plays a significant role in humanitarian and social work.
He went on to say that through this collaboration, the company hopes to support humanitarian work as part of its social responsibility, with the goal of contributing to the achievement of the Qatar National Vision 2030 in the field of social and economic development.
