The Police Training Institute celebrated the graduation of the foundation course on explosives on Wednesday in the presence of Maj Gen Dr Abdullah Yusuf Al Maal, Advisor to the Minister of Interior and vice chairman of the Police College Supreme Committee. Many officers from various ministry departments participated in the course, which lasted for five weeks. The course included introducing explosives, dealing with them, and practical training in detonation. During the course, international standards issued by the UN, including quality management for mine and explosives work, health and safety, risk management, and other training topics requiring for issuing the EOD Level 1 certificate, were discussed. At the end of the ceremony, Al Maal distributed certificates to the graduates and presented a commemorative shield to the Arab Advisory Team for Mine Action.
