Adding yet another world-class attraction for international visitors ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Qatar Tourism on Sunday announced its partnership with Ayla Oasis Development to introduce the newest B12 Beach Club in the heart of Doha.
Set to open in October this year, B12 Beach Club is a family-friendly beach club that offers a range of water and sports activities, exceptional dining options, premium services, andentertainment.
Speaking on the occasion, Qatar Tourism Chairman and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said, “At Qatar Tourism, one of our biggest passions is helping people discover our home country of Qatar. Partnering with Ayla allows us to continue this work and expand tourism to Qatar. With the B12 Beach Club, Doha adds yet another world-class attraction for international visitors.”
B12 Beach Club Doha, set to open in October, will offer an exclusive experience to Qatar’s World Cup visitors through lively beachy vibes, bohemian interiors featuring graffiti art by Qatari artists, and various entertainment elements to welcome guests from all age groups for a day-to-night experience.
The family-friendly beach club, overlooking 40,000 metres of premium beachfront, will feature exceptional hospitality and service, all-day dining at the beach deck with various culinary options, an indoor restaurant with a versatile gourmet menu, and water and beach entertainment activities.
Ayla Managing Director Sahl Dudin said, “Our strategic partnership with Qatar Tourism to launch B12 Beach Club Doha in time for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 gives guests the chance to experience one of Jordan’s premier tourist destinations in the heart of Doha.”
“B12 Beach Club is committed to elevating the guest’s experience by providing bespoke services and unique offerings to the local community, tourists, and visitors,” he said.
Talking to Qatar Tribune on the occasion, Dudin said, “We are honoured and humbled to be selected by Qatar Tourism to manage B12 Beach Club Doha on a really prime piece of land in the West Bay. This shows the confidence Qatar Tourism has in Ayla, a home-grown brand of Jordan. We manage a similar beach club in Jordan and we will try to replicate it here.”
As one can see, he said, “The B12 Beach Club Doha is quite informal, lively, colourful for family members of different ages. It will cater to both residents and visitors.”
Dudin said, “This is our first collaboration with Qatar Tourism and we will ensure that this partnership works. We are determined to make it a major attraction for both residents and tourists.”
Dudin said that Ayla was also in talks with Qatar Tourism to expand its operations in Qatar by managing more such beaches and using its expertise for the benefit of tourism in Qatar.
Dudin said that the soft opening of B12 Beach Club Doha will happen on October 15 and the final opening will happen on November 15.
Initially, this agreement is for six months, Dudin said adding that this partnership will continue for a longperiod.
“The initial agreement will be over in March. However, we are in talks with Qatar Tourism about extending the partnership,” he said.
About the capacity of the beach, Dudin said, “It is a huge area. It is four times the capacity of the beach that we manage in Jordan. Once the beach is fully operational, its capacity can reach up to 1,000 people.”
As the capacity is huge, he said, “Ayla is in talks with a number of entities like hotels, Qatar Airways, travel and tour operators and several other organisations to attract visitors to the beach club.”
While the entry to the beach will be paid, Dudin said, the pricing is yet to be finalised.
He, however, said that once the entry tickets are taken visitors can stay at the serviced beach for the entire day.
The opening of the new B12 Beach Club ahead of the much-anticipated FIFA World Cup demonstrates Qatar’s readiness to host the world’s biggest football tournament. Fans travelling to Qatar for the tournament are encouraged to include a stop at B12 Beach Club in their itinerary to experience yet another unforgettable adventure during their visit.
