Qatar’s national under-21 beach volleyball team of Abdullah Naseem and Abdullah Samir have qualified for the U-21 World Championship to be held in Thailand, next September. They finished fifth in the fourth Asian U-21 Championship in Thailand. They scored a valuable win over Kazakhstan (21-1 5, 22-20) which saw them take the second place in Group C. The Qatar duo later lost to Iran 21-17, 22-20 yet made it to the world championship. Qatar’s under-19 team of Mubarak Al Kuwari and Mohammed Al Sharshni will also take part in the qualifying round of the Under-19 Beach Volleyball World Championship in Thailand, which will host the two championships.
