87 kilos of tobacco seized from shipment of ovens at Hamad Port

Qatar Customs foiled yet another smuggling attempt as nearly 87 kilograms of prohibited tobacco was seized from a shipment at the Hamad Port.

The General Authority of Customs (GAC) on Monday said the contraband was hidden inside ovens. The seizure was made by GAC’s Marine Customs Department.

This is the latest in a series of foiled bids to smuggle drugs and other banned substances into Qatar.
