The Social Development Center (Nama), a Qatar Foundation for Social Work centre, has launched the 2021 edition of its ‘Be a Social Entrepreneur’ campaign. The aim of the drive is to educate young people in Qatari society about the concept of social entrepreneurship, and qualifying them to become more active and influential in their societies. The drive also aims to educate them how development projects to serve the community can be achieved, and highlight the role of social entrepreneurial projects in achieving sustainable development.
The campaign will continue until August 12, and seeks to enhance the centre’s role in rehabilitating and empowering young people to interact more positively in Qatari society. A number of Qatari social entrepreneurs are participating in it to transfer their expertise and experiences in the field of social entrepreneurship to youths. As part of the campaign, visual materials such as photos and videos will be published on the official social media accounts of the Nama Center in order to reach the largest possible segment of young people.
Nama actively seeks to provide a stimulating environment for investment in the potential and creative capabilities of young people and meet their needs and aspirations to become active partners in civil work and explorers of the best opportunities and innovative initiatives in order to lead the advancement drive in their communities.
