Qatar Charity (QC) organised a training course for the teachers and supervisors of the Holy Qur’an learning course under its ‘Noon’ platform.
The course was organised under the supervision of the Qatar Charity’s Al Khor Center for Community Development as part of Qatar Charity’s efforts to enhance the capabilities of its Qur’an course’s teachers and supervisors and increase the level of their knowledge.
Many supervisors and teachers participated in the course via Microsoft Teams to learn the optimal use of the electronic programmes and technologies to teach the Holy Qur’an remotely.
Faisal Rashid Al Fahida, CEO’s assistant for the Programmes and Community Development sector at Qatar Charity, paid an inspection visit to the Al Khor Community Development Center and was briefed on its activities.
He praised the interest in the capability development of the centre’s workers, especially the activities implemented remotely, as part of the precautionary measures against the coronavirus pandemic.
Fatima Jumah Al Mohannadi, director of the Programs and Community Development Department at Qatar Charity, said that the course is part the training plan of the Programmes and Community Development department.
She underlined Qatar Charity’s interest in developing the capabilities of its human resources as it believes that the successful cadre is the one who has the skills to carry out his job professionally.
Mohannadi also pointed out that Qatar Charity will continue to organise training courses related to its various fields of work to develop the personal and professional skills of its staff, so that they can carry out their duties in a better professional manner.
The course, which was presented by trainer Dr Alaa Hosni, enabled the trainees to apply technical systems in the remote teaching process and present materials in an attractive manner.
The course dealt with many topics, such as teaching methods, the art of presenting and the modern tools, in addition to keeping abreast of developments and mechanisms that ensure the success of the teacher and supervisor in carrying out the duty at the required level.
Dr Hosni thanked Qatar Charity for launching the ‘Noon’ platform, indicating that the teacher and supervisor should have the skills to use such electronic technologies so that they can deliver the message effectively and present the material attractively.
He also praised the participants for their keenness to learn, appreciating their interaction and discussion during the course.
Maryam Al Abdullah, a participant in the course and head of a community development centre of Qatar Charity, said that the course comes within the framework of Qatar Charity’s efforts aimed at training teachers to use the system and easily communicate with those participating in the Holy Qur’an course.
She added that the course helped the teachers and supervisors communicate directly with the students in a way that achieves the intended goal.
