Souvenir Group Chairman Haji Said Badshah organised a colourful event at his residence in Al Hilal area to mark Pakistan Independence day. A large number of community members attended the event and paid glowing tributes to the leaders of the Pakistan Movement, whose relentless efforts and sacrifices earned a separate homeland for Muslims on August 14, 1947.
Meanwhile, Souvenir Group’s Cold Storage Division organised an event to celebrate Independence Day at Depalpur, District Okara, Pakistan. Vice Chairman Umar Farooq cut a cake to mark the occasion. The unit was inaugurated on February 23, 2018 for the processing and packaging of potatoes.
"The division has two washing plants with a storage capacity of 400,000 bags. We owe a lot to our country and now we want to pay back to our motherland. Currently, we are employing 2,000 workers and have plans to give jobs to 10,000 workers,” said Badshah, who is one of the leading importers of fruits and vegetables in Qatar.
The group has offices in China, Turkey, Qatar, the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Pakistan.
The group’s Souvenir General Hospital (SGH) located at Dilazak Road in Peshawar also organised an event to celebrate Independence Day. The state-of-the-art 100-bed tertiary care hospital provides all-inclusive healthcare facilities. The hospital also organises free medical camps while all the services in the emergency department are offered for free.
Team Q-Life organised an event to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day at London Store located in Old Airport area. Team members Salman Sohail, Imran Yousuf and Hassan Lashari accompanied by community members cut a cake and prayed for the progress and prosperity of Qatar and Pakistan.
Team Q-Life, an online ecommerce platform, showcased famous Pakistani products like Shahi, Ahmed Foods, Shan Spices, Mehran Spices, King Spices, Qarshi products and Multani Sohan Halwa besides many other products at London Store, which is known for selling high-quality food stuff. The Pakistani community greatly appreciated Team Q-Life’s initiative to introduce famous desi products in Qatar while ensuring their availability in the heart of the city.
Sohail noted that Pakistani products are fast becoming popular in Qatar due to the high quality and competitive rates. "Our customers particularly liked sweet and juicy Pakistani mangoes and it made very difficult for us to meet the demand recently,” remarked Sohail.
Yousuf said the response of the community has been overwhelming and the team is currently negotiating with Pakistan’s leading exporters and will shortly introduce many new products in the Qatari market.
