Olive International School (OIS) celebrated its seventh anniversary of inception that coincided with the Teachers’ Day event. The OIS management felicitated grade 10 teachers of Umm Salal Ali campus as well as the teachers who won the Olive’s Excellence award recently on Al Thumama campus.
Ever since its inception in September 2014, Olive International School, in a short span of seven years thus far has joined the unique league of fastest growing schools in Qatar.
At the onset of the 8th year, the school is at the stage wherein it is confident, connected and actively involved in life-long learners. The management and the principal appreciated the teachers for their continual hard work, dedication and extended their heart-felt gratitude towards the staff for ensuring that the students have a bright future. In his speech, the principal compared the life of a child to that of the metamorphosis of a caterpillar to a butterfly. He stated that the teachers are the ones who can strengthen the wings of our students so that they reach greater heights without any anxiety or fear.
The grade10 parents, teachers, headmistress, assistant coordinator, vice-principal and quality auditor were appreciated for all their efforts and time put in towards the grade 10 students’ results in the academic year 2019-2020. It is because of their contribution, the school has thrived to achieve 10 percent results. The management presented teachers a gold coin to each as a token of appreciation.
The Olive’s Excellence Award was constituted to recognise and to encourage the contributions of the teachers in different disciplines.
The awards were split into four main categories that is Olive Excellent Teacher Award, Best OBE Award, Best Termly Teacher Award and Olive Department Head Award.
The management and the principal appreciated the teachers’ hard work and wished them luck for their future endeavours. The awardees were awarded with certificates, memento and cash prize.
